Bioware Announces “Extended Cut” DLC for Mass Effect 3

This news has already been making the rounds, but on the off-chance we’re your only outlet for news of the outside world, you should know Bioware announced this morning that they intend to release, free of charge, “Extended Cut,” DLC to augment or extend Mass Effect 3’s existing ending. So far all Bioware is saying is that they intend for the DLC to add some cinematic epilogues that clarify some of the loose threads for various characters. There’s an FAQ here. At this point folks seem eager to declare victory or outrage pending which side of the fence they’ve been on this whole time. I’d say let’s just see what they do. They’re not actually changing anything already in the ending and since the DLC is both optional and free I’m not sure there’s much harm to be done.
